On this week’s episode we are joined by one of the best former “G-Men” in the business, Kurt Lewis of United States Secret Service. Kurt talks with us about his early law enforcement career as a sheriff’s deputy, eventual transition from local law enforcement to federal service and his extensive experiences both professionally and personally as an Agent in the Secret Service. It’s a great first-hand account of the process of becoming an agent, life in the Secret Service, his access to some of the most powerful people on the planet and the real “secret” of the Secret Service.  

Guest Bio: Kurt Lewis is a retired Special Agent from the United States Secret Service with 24 years of both domestic and international federal law enforcement experience. His roles included: Assistant Special Agent in Charge - Special Services, Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge - Presidential Protection, Special Agent - Assistant Attaché and Special Agent - Special Operations Training. Prior to his federal service, Kurt was a Deputy for 6 years with the Charleston County (SC) Sheriff’s Office, working in both narcotics and SWAT. 

He is also a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and a 1989 Graduate of The Citadel Military College of South Carolina with a B.A in History.  

Kurt is the current Director of Executive Security for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
